A drive to change attitudes to health
My name is Anba Divani and I am a personal trainer and I have worked in the health and fitness industry for more than 20 years.
With a sports science degree and various other health and fitness/ dance qualifications I have been fascinated by anatomy and physiology my whole life.
More importantly I have a desire to get the nation healthier.
Working in this field from all aspects there are many challenges, whether a general one to one training, co-ordination training with the army boxing team, young offenders, children, elderly, pre and post-natal.
This and much more have helped me shape and develop my knowledge, not only of the scientific facts but how we as a nation do not appear to have a hunger for fitness.
Our children therefore no longer have a drive for competitive sports, this is all leading to more health related problems in our school age generation.
I would like to see our thought process towards healthy lifestyle change, it begins with parents, and schools.
I would like to see the time spent on physical fitness in schools increased and more money spent on sports facilities, these are just some of my soap box rants!
I have been known to be a little controversial from time to time but one thing is for sure, I am passionate about health and fitness and making people feel good about themselves. I am concerned about the obesity levels in this country with our children.
I truly believe a fit body equals a fit mind, so don’t think about it, do it.
