Join in the BIG ride!
For 2012 the Downland Cycles Spring Sportive and KM Big Bike Ride will join forces to create a bumper event on Sunday, April 1.
Riders have the choice of taking part in the popular bi-annual physical cycling challenge staged by Downland Cycles which has no charitable element to it or taking part in the KM Big Bike Ride and raising funds for the charity or good cause of their choice.
All aspects of the rides are identical, it is simply the motivation behind taking part that will differ for individual riders.
There is a choice of a 68 mile (110km) route or 100 miles and the ride has been designed to be varied and interesting, flat, undulating, hills, a bit of everything with minimal navigation.
The 68 mile (110km) route
The 100 mile route
The route will be signposted with yellow signs with black arrows and as a back up there will be chalk arrows at junctions.

Less able cyclists wishing to ride to support their favourite cause can still join in the fun.
The event's food stop will be at 39 miles at Newington Village Hall near Folkestone.
If you do not wish to ride further stop at the hall for a snack and wait for our support vehicle to transport you back to the start or arrange for a family member or friend to meet you there.
